This dataset results from the combination of NWT Soil Capacity mapping completed through various mapping initiatives with data gaps filled using a national land cover dataset developed from AVHRR satellite imagery. This model is part of the NWT Agricultural Potential Model and Viewer project. The model brings together and weights six spatial datasets with the key objective to identify locations of suitability for agriculture. The model will be used to inform future agricultural management decisions. Landcover was created reclassed with the ArcGIS reclassify tool and the categories were based on an existing feature dataset NTSSEP_AgricultureCapacity. |
