This layer combines six agricultural factors that were used as inputs to the NWT Agricultural Potential Index, a modeled dataset displayed in the NWT Agricultural Potential Viewer (ArcGIS Online web application). Agricultural factors represented in this dataset include: slope, aspect, roads (cost distance), power (cost distance), climate, and landcover/soil. Areas determined to be unsuitable for agriculture (i.e., restricted areas) have been erased from this dataset. For more information, please see the NWT Agricultural Potential Model report (Caslys Consulting Ltd., 2019). This dataset has been prepared specifically for use in the custom filter tool (query widget) in the NWT Agricultural Potential Viewer. |
