The feature class defines the study area for the NWT Agricultural Potential Study. The area was created to account for availability of source datasets and the likely areas for which there is potential for agricultural activity in the NWT. It is largely based on an existing selection of NWT communities that were selected as candidates for agricultural potenital modelling. Agricultrual potential is heavily influenced by the transportaiton network and the availability of soil capacity mapping which has resulted in the final study area delineation. |
